Gunster attorney Debra L. Boje is being honored for her volunteer efforts on behalf of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA).

She will receive the Ruben A. Dankoff Award for Public Policy and Legislative Service for her guidance on new legislation improving and clarifying gaming laws and regulations as they relate to bowling centers.

Boje has been an “invaluable resource for proprietors in the southeast region,” the association stated in a press release.

Boje is a shareholder in Gunster’s Tampa, Florida, office. She focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, taxation and family business succession planning. Perhaps unsurprisingly, she also comes from a family of bowling center proprietors, and her father and brother have both been inducted into the BPAA’s Hall of Fame.

The luncheon will be held on June 24 during the International Bowl Expo 2015 in Las Vegas.

Read the profile of Boje in the June 2015 issue of International Bowling Industry magazine (pp. 52-55): Bowling’s biggest ally: Debra Boje comes from one of the ‘first’ families of bowling, and she is using her profession as a lawyer to be a watchdog for our industry.
