Gunster managing shareholder H. William Perry was interviewed recently for an article about the growing number of private planes used for business in the state of Florida.

The owner and pilot of a Cessna 182 that seats four, Perry uses the plane to save time on trips to Gunster’s offices located throughout the state.

Instead of a 7.5-hour drive to Tallahassee from West Palm Beach, he tells Palm Beach Post writer Jeff Ostrowski, he can fly there in just two hours.

As the firm’s chief executive managing the day-to-day operations of the firm, Perry may need to travel on business to any of Gunster’s 12 locations in Florida, including Key Largo, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Tallahassee. He is based out of the firm’s West Palm Beach headquarters.

According to the article, there are 2,100 business aircraft in Florida (according to lending company, Boca Raton-based Global Jet Capital), making Florida the state with the second-largest number of private planes in corporate use in the nation.
