In addition to the dedication he brings to his nearly 25-year legal career, Gunster corporate lawyer David Bates also cultivates a passion for wildlife and landscape photography.
His beloved pastime earned him a profile in the legal industry publication Law360 last month.
In the profile, Bates discusses a couple of close calls where he got a little too close for comfort with some of his photography subjects.
He also talks about how his love of the outdoors began with hiking and feats of speed and strength – but really came into focus when he began devoting his spare time to nature photography about 10 years ago.
In fact, patience, perseverance and planning are the hallmarks of both a good photographer and lawyer, he points out in the article.
