WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 10, 2014) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce attorney Jeff Jonasen has been selected by the organization’s board as a member of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission’s (EDC) board of directors for the 2014-2015 fiscal year.
The EDC attracts new business investment to the Orlando region and works with local companies to assist them with expansion plans and other business concerns. It serves Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties and the City of Orlando.
Jeff Jonasen is an attorney who joined the firm in 2013 and is a member of Gunster’s corporate, government affairs and securities and corporate governance practice groups. Jonasen attended the University of Florida for his bachelor’s and law degree. He was a member of Leadership Florida’s 2005-2006 class and is involved as chairman of the Central Florida Partnership, a seven-county, business-led community advocacy organization, until December.
Jonasen, based in the firm’s Orlando office location, will serve on the board with many Orlando business and civic leaders including the mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, and mayor of Orange County, Teresa Jacobs.
