WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 20, 2016) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Gunster shareholder Brian M. Seymour has been appointed to the board of directors of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County.

Seymour filled an at-large seat on the board. His appointment is effective Oct. 1, 2016, for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

“Our new board members bring talent, expertise and energy to the table,” BDB president and CEO Kelly Smallridge said in a Oct. 25 press release. “We are very grateful that they will be assisting the Business Development Board to accomplish economic development initiatives to bring high-paying jobs to Palm Beach County.”

Seymour represents land owners and developers in matters of land use, zoning, comprehensive planning and environmental resource permitting, as well as eminent domain, land use and constitutional property rights litigation. He understands the role of the political process in land use decisions, regularly balancing legal rights and political realities in advising clients on how to achieve their goals in ways that makes business sense.
