Because practically every business transaction involves real estate, Cassidy Bergstrom focuses her practice on providing the broad range of skill and experience needed to advise on the many moving parts of real property transactions. She is committed to delivering practical, effectual, and timely legal counsel that parallels each client’s specific goals for commercial real estate endeavors of all sizes and levels of complexity.

Among Cassidy’s clients are individuals, privately held and publicly owned businesses, investors, lenders, developers, construction companies, brokers, and landlords involved in the purchase and sale of real estate. Her representation ranges from routine contracts to multi-party, multi-state deals that reflect the highest level of complexity, sophistication and ambition. Cassidy negotiates and closes purchase and sale transactions, as well as advises on real estate-related entity formation and strategic alliances, leasing, financing and investment deals. She performs commercial title examinations, analyzes title insurance, and conducts closings.

Cassidy is skilled in advising on a myriad real property assets. Her experience ranges from industrial, storage, residential and mixed-use properties to shopping centers, retail malls, office parks and commercial buildings to hotels, resorts and recreational properties to raw land for development.

A native of Northeast Florida, Cassidy joined Gunster in 2015 after graduating in the top 10% of her class from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Prior to law school, Cassidy was the marketing director for a St. Augustine non-profit providing services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2011, she was awarded the Arc of Florida President’s Award for advocacy on behalf of persons with developmental disabilities. Outside of the office, Cassidy remains passionate about community service and serves on the board of the Literacy Alliance of Northeast Florida and is an active sustainer of the Junior Service League of St. Augustine.
