The Florida Venture Forum hosted its 30th annual capital conference last week. The virtual gathering was launched by Gunster shareholder Milton Vescovacci (Miami) and featured a keynote presentation by Eric Silagy, President & CEO of Florida Power & Light and a fireside chat by Frank DiBello, President & CEO of Space Florida. One key takeaway from those presentations is Florida’s vibrant and prosperous business climate is growing attractive to more and more entrepreneurs and investors; many of whom are heading to Florida in droves to expand a robust emerging company ecosystem in a variety of industries, including renewable energy and aerospace. In 2020, FPL launched its “35 Mules” innovation hub to help entrepreneurs develop game-changing ideas in energy, water and energy-adjacent industries into a business based in Florida. FPL is using its market leading know-how to support the state’s economic growth and flourishing the business environment.
Gunster was proud to be a sponsor of the keynote presentation, the Florida Venture Capital Conference and is proud to support the Florida Venture Forum. Milton Vescovacci is a board member of the Forum and is a corporate attorney who works closely with entrepreneurs and investors in venture capital and private equity transactions.
