Bates is the co-chair of Gunster’s technology and emerging companies groups. He has been practicing law for more than two decades. Bates counsels clients in the areas of technology law, venture capital, licensing and distribution, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance and securities. He also assists with corporate structuring and restructuring, employment, compensation and non-compete
arrangements, securities, franchising and licensing, distribution, sports and other business agreements.
