Gunster Names Ronald Brisé to Lead Government Affairs Practice
Gunster is pleased to announce that Ronald A. Brisé has been named the practice group leader of the Government Affairs Law & Lobbying Practice, effective February 1.
As a former state representative, Brisé leverages a wealth of experience in governmental, legislative, political and business arenas to represent the interests of clients in matters that include appropriations, business development, education, governmental and legislative affairs, public policy, and economic development. He understands government and is an accomplished commissioner, legislative leader and senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in regulated industries including telecommunications, energy, and utilities, as well as government and business.
Brisé was tapped to serve on the Florida Public Service Commission where he served multiple terms including in the role of chair. He has established himself as a thought leader in telecommunications and energy having testified before the U.S. Senate.
Brisé also is a recognized thought leader on universal service, having served as a member of the FCC Universal Service Joint Board and the Universal Service Administrative Company. Most recently, CFO Jimmy Patronis appointed Ron to serve on Florida’s Blockchain Task Force, where he currently serves as Chair.
