The Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals will be hosting its annual “Essentials” program for 2015 on Jan. 28 – 30 in Orlando.  The event will introduce people to corporate governance give them a deeper understanding with the help of speakers, networking and plenty of other programming.

Gunster attorney Robert Lamm served as securities law committee chair fromGunster attorney Bob Lamm 2011 – 2014 for the organization, as the national conference committee chair in 2004 and has been a member of the board of directors. Lamm is a co-chair of Gunster's securities and corporate governance practice.

The event will kick off at Disney’s BoardWalk starting at 8 a.m. on Jan. 28 with an introduction from Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals President and CEO Stephen Brown. "Essentials" will end with a series of workshops on the afternoon of Jan. 30.

There is a fee associated with the event for both members and non-members of the organization. Hotel rooms have been set aside for event attendees at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and special theme park discount tickets are available.
