The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County is hosting its first Heroes for Education running and walking event on Nov. 15. The event, presented by UnitedHealthcare, will support public education in Palm Beach County including 100 percent of proceeds from registration going to the cause.
Gunster attorney Edward Tancer was recently appointed to the board of directors for the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County. Tancer is a member of the general business counseling, corporate governance and commercial transactions practice areas of Gunster.
Palm Beach County’s chapter of the Education Foundation is one of the top 50 in the nation. It supports more than 400 students in the area, aiding in upping graduation for students in the area. The 5k race will begin at 7:30 a.m, the kids run will begin at 8:15 a.m. and the family and school walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at Bryant Park in Lake Worth. Teams or individuals can register online.
