In continuation of Gunster’s Excellence in Community Stewardship, we are proud to sponsor and participate in a community volunteer event at the Immigration Legal Screening Clinic. We will provide boots on the ground assistance with screening the potential Americans for Immigrant Justice clients who come seeking advice and guidance. The first of several of these clinics will take place on September 14 at the Everglades Community Center.
Gunster attorneys, paralegals, staff and their families will be trained and can volunteer throughout the day to assist with screening & intake for potential immigration cases. Prior Gunster volunteers, from a similar clinic, include Sarah Tobocman, Kim Rivera, Lauren Kahn and Maureen Jaeger.
The Immigration Legal Screening Clinic is a free service that AI Justice provides to the south Florida community through “Know your Rights Presentations”, and performing intakes for potential immigration cases to be handled by AI Justice or Pro Bono attorneys. They are able to provide these services free of charge through the generosity of sponsors and volunteers.
