On June 15, 2022 Gunster will sponsor the 2022 Florida Association for Water Quality Control (FAWQC) Annual Conference. Shareholder Michael Petrovich and Government Affairs Consultant Kevin Cleary will represent the firm at the event.
The FAWQC is a non-profit association of professionals dedicated to managing, improving and protecting Florida’s water quality. Topics on the agenda for the conference include mining and mineral industries, climate resiliency, and water policy. During the Legislative Update Session, Kevin Cleary will present the state update and Michael Petrovich will serve as the Moderator.
Michael Petrovich advises clients on environmental regulatory compliance issues, permitting and defense of enforcement actions brought by various environmental agencies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Florida Department of Environmental Protection. His experience includes utilities, manufacturing, and mining industries’ solid and hazardous waste regulatory issues, among others.
As a native of Florida’s capital city, Kevin Cleary is skilled in navigating the inner workings of state and local government. Prior to joining Gunster’s Tallahassee office, Kevin developed more than a decade of legislative, executive and political experience. Most recently, Kevin served as the Legislative Affairs Director at the Department of Environmental Protection.
