The Gold Coast Venture Capital Association (GCVCA), a nonprofit founded in 1984 to assist the entrepreneurial and business communities of South Florida, is hosting its inaugural expo the evening of Wednesday, February 26, at the Embassy Suites Boca Raton.
Gunster is a proud sponsor of the expo, and Gunster attorney David Bates is chair of the organization.
“Our mission is to provide support, education and opportunities for Florida’s growing companies to meet investors,” Bates says of the February 26 event. “The Expo is a fun and dynamic way to do that.”
More than 20 Florida-based startups and a dozen corporate sponsors are expected to exhibit at the GCVCA 2014 Expo.
As of February 19, the startups at the expo will include AdMobilize, Appworx, Bar Maxx, BoaterRated, BoatSetter, CleveMed, Cydec, Deliver Lean, Demeter Power, Design Comfort Shoes, eCampus, Elebev, eTech Money, Feathr, Fitting Room Social, FlyInStyle, Hello Show, HRSoft, Logzilla, New Avionics, NuWave Spine, Renewed Waters, Skulpt, Stadson Tech and Voike.
Many of the participating entrepreneurs have won regional and national business plan competitions, and several are products of local incubators such as Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida.
Plan to spend a few hours visiting the exhibits and supporting the South Florida entrepreneurial community.
