Gunster Of Counsel Attorney and Government Affairs Consultant, Sha’Ron James, was recently featured in ABC Action News and CBS 12 broadcast segments discussing the upcoming Special Legislative Session on property insurance.
The segment sheds light on the growing property insurance marketplace crisis and rising rates, particularly in the wake of recent Hurricanes Ian and Nicole. James explains that there will be a push to move policies from Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, which is the non-profit alternative insurer for Floridians, back to the private market.
James also advises consumers not to expect immediate rate relief from the Legislature. “The issues that the Legislature will be addressing will be long-term solutions,” she notes.
