The latest issue of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) South Florida Chapter’s FOCUS newsletter features an article authored by Gunster Shareholder Alexis Buese, outlining the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA). The FTSA is a new law that took effect on July 1, 2021 and has been dubbed the “mini-TCPA.”
Companies that do business in Florida should be aware of the FTSA and should proactively employ measures to mitigate the risks it poses, Buese advises. She adds that “Virtually any business that contacts consumers using mobile marketing is at risk if doing business in Florida, regardless or industry or location.”
