In the 2022 edition of Florida Trend‘s “Florida 500” list, Bill Perry, George LeMieux, Mike Tanner and Peter Quinter are featured. Of note, this marks the first year for four Gunster attorneys to be selected.

Now in its fifth year, the Florida 500 is a prestigious annual list that identifies, recognizes and highlights Florida business leaders who have significantly impacted the trajectory of our state. Following months of research and interviews, 500 executives were selected based on extensive contacts in regional business circles, making this a highly selective honor. A variety of sources were used to produce the lists, including input from executives of economic development organizations, professional associations and others who know their communities, industries and the state well.

Gunster CEO & Managing Shareholder Bill Perry

Perry manages Gunster’s the day-to-day operations while practicing real estate and business law. Over the years, he has been instrumental in the growth and prosperity of South Florida, having worked on infrastructure projects including power plants, airports and large residential communities. Perry’s diverse clientele includes real estate developers, contractors, shipping companies, railways, energy companies, aggregate suppliers and road contractors. Under his leadership, the firm has grown tremendously and now has over 240 attorneys and consultants, and more than 240 support staff.

Gunster Chairman George LeMieux

LeMieux has been active in Florida politics for more than 20 years. He previously served as Deputy Florida Attorney General, Chief of Staff to Florida Governor Charlie Crist and as Florida’s 34th United States Senator. He focuses his practice on resolving business and governmental disputes, while advising CEOs and C-suite executives on business, law and government from a local, state and national perspective.

Gunster attorney Mike Tanner

Tanner, who served as the 73rd president of The Florida Bar, is a seasoned legal strategist with more than thirty years of experience. His primary areas of practice include complex litigation, appellate (state and federal courts) and election law. He is board certified in both civil trial and business litigation by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.

Gunster attorney Peter Quinter

A nationally recognized expert in customs and international trade law, Quinter represents individuals and companies involved in the wide variety of legal issues associated with international trade and transportation, including litigation before federal courts across Florida and before the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. Prior to entering private practice, Quinter served as legal counsel at the Southeast Regional Headquarters of the U.S. Customs Service (now known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection) in Miami, Florida.

In its mission to Lead Florida Forward, Gunster continues to experience significant growth across the state in a variety of practices. After recently completing a merger with the Tampa-based Barnett law firm, Gunster’s attorney headcount increased by 10 percent, and the firm continues to recruit exceptional talent while strengthening its position as Florida’s law firm for business.
