Florida business law firm Gunster has signed a lease taking over the entire 35th floor of 600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza, one of the newest office buildings in Miami.

George S. LeMieuxWith the move, Gunster is capitalizing on its focus on Florida, George S. LeMieux, former U.S. Senator and current chair of Gunster told the South Florida Business Journal recently. The firm is serious about Miami and the Miami business community, LeMieux told Law360. He added that the firm will continue to focus on what Florida clients need most: real estate, corporate, litigation and tax legal counsel.

Gunster chose to relocate to 600 Brickell because of the tower’s technology and infrastructure capabilities, prime location within the bustling Brickell area — a hub of Miami’s business community − and strong tenant roster of leading companies in the tower.

The firm continues to invest in its attorneys and staff in the Miami marketplace; over the past 18 months, the law firm has grown by recruiting numerous high-profile, highly skilled shareholders and associates to its existing Miami office, including: Judge Angel Cortiñas, a white-collar defense lawyer and litigator; Simon Ferro, former U.S. ambassador to Panama and an environmental and land use attorney; Amy Brigham Boulris and Juan Muniz, eminent domain and land use attorneys; and William Hill, a business litigator.
