Goldglantz underscores the importance of having a will, even for individuals who are not wealthy. “The main purpose of a will is to distribute assets upon someone passing, but it also serves other purposes,” Goldglantz explains. Goldglantz goes on to highlight the difference between a will and a trust, noting that whereas a will is public record, a trust is a private document.
