The American Dream Mall, a proposed megamall and entertainment complex targeted to rise in Northwest Miami-Dade, is now expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Diaz de la Portilla notes that a new design is underway for the project, consisting of 70 percent entertainment and 30 percent retail space.
“The plan was almost 100% under roof,” Diaz de la Portilla states. “Now, in the reconceptualization, we’re going to have many open space areas and we are looking at more of an entertainment component than a retail component.”
