In a recent Law360 article, Gunster shareholders Jonathan Osborne and Jorge Guttman are quoted in connection with a program that was recently held under the Leadership Training Academy, an initiative of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. The Academy was formed to support future Florida attorneys with opportunities to gain legal training while in law school, and the recent program featured U.S. District Judge Roy K. Altman and Simone Marstiller, secretary of Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration.
“The importance of diversity, the importance of inclusion, and in recent years, the importance of equity has really taken the legal community by storm in Florida,” said Jonathan Osborne. Jorge Guttman went on to say that “We learned it takes a lot of work to put these events together. But we also learned that it was completely worthwhile.”
Jonathan K. Osborne is a business litigation shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense & Internal Investigations practice group. He is also a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Jonathan began his practice at Gunster and later returned to the firm after serving in the U.S. Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida.
