MIAMI – September 10, 2008 – Gunster Yoakley continues to grow its Miami office with the addition of Joshua Jacobson as an associate in the Corporate Practice Group and Samantha B. Carter as an associate in the Tax Practice Group.

Jacobson brings a decade of experience in representing banks and other institutional lenders in a variety of secured and unsecured financing transactions to Gunster Yoakley where he will concentrate his practice in the areas of corporate finance and banking and financial services. Before joining the firm, Jacobson was an associate in the New York office of an international law firm. A member of both the Florida and New York Bar, Jacobson earned a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School.

Carter joined The Florida Bar in 2003 and is co-director of the Tax Section, New Tax Lawyers Division. She earned an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in taxation from University of Florida Levin College of Law and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Widener University School of Law. Carter has published in the Widener Law Symposium Journal and The Florida Bar Journal, and she was a faculty member for the 2008 Advanced Health Law Topics and Certification Review Course.
