WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 21, 2008) — Gunster Yoakley has promoted four attorneys from its West Palm Beach, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale offices to firm shareholders: Nicole Atkinson, Andres Fernandez, Christopher Kammerer and Gigi Tanghe.

Nicole Atkinson practices out of the West Palm Beach office and is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. She concentrates her practice on products liability defense, complex commercial litigation and real property litigation. She earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Florida School of Law and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1999. She is involved in numerous organizations in the Palm Beach area including the Palm Beach County Hospice Foundation Board, the Palm Beach United Way (Community Chest), the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Andres Fernandez is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department as well as the Banking and Financial Services Group, in the Miami office. His practice areas include banking and commercial law; Banking Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Assets Control compliance related matters; and international law. Fernandez earned his J.D. from St. Thomas University and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1999. He is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association and the Florida International Bankers Association. He also serves as the general counsel for the Mike Lowell Foundation.

Christopher Kammerer is a litigation attorney in the West Palm Beach office. He concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial and securities litigation, with an emphasis on shareholder and partnership disputes, dissolutions and valuations, and matters involving breach of fiduciary obligations in a variety of corporate, partnership, joint venture, and securities contexts. He received his J.D. from New York Law School in 1991 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995.

Gigi Tanghe is a real estate attorney in the Ft. Lauderdale office. She concentrates her practice in real estate development including the acquisition, construction, development and financing of commercial, office, residential and retail properties; negotiation of construction contracts and architect agreements; institutional lending for real estate acquisition loans and construction financing; and ground, commercial, office and retail leasing. She received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law with honors in 1995, and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year.
