The law firm of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. announced that attorney Luna Phillips has joined the firm as of counsel in its Fort Lauderdale office. Her practice areas include environmental and land use law, and administrative and governmental law. Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior attorney with the South Florida Water Management District from 1997 through 2007 and a senior attorney with the Department of Environmental Protection from 1995 through 1997.

Phillips earned her J.D. at Mercer University School of Law and is Florida Bar Board Certified in State and Federal Government and Administrative Law. She is admitted to The Florida Bar, Environmental and Land Use Law Section, Administrative Law Section, and Governmental Law Section, as well as the State Bar of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Phillips has lectured extensively and been published in numerous journals. She is a member of the Rio Vista Civic Association and was named to the Legal Elite by Florida Trend as one of the top environmental law attorneys.
