WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 16, 2009) – Josh Long, AICP, a certified real estate planner at Gunster, Attorneys at Law, has been appointed a member-at-large officer for the Treasure Coast’s section of the American Planning Association (APA).

Long, who has been with Gunster since 2005, works with the firm’s attorneys to navigate the broad range of issues that arise with land use and development, including growth management, planned unit development, community redevelopment areas, local government approvals and permits, urban development, variance, rezoning, special exceptions and transfer development rights. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from South Illinois University Carbondale, and is an active member of the Palm Beach County Planning Congress.

In Florida, the APA provides statewide leadership for the development of sustainable communities by advocating excellence in planning, by providing professional development to members and working to protect and enhance the natural and built environments.
