For business owners and leaders looking to help ensure a successful 2018 for their companies, in his latest article, Bates discusses a number of New Year’s resolutions that may help entrepreneurs clear potential legal hurdles in the new year.
The resolutions he mentions include:
- using the correct corporate entity type for your business to limit personal liability
- protecting your intellectual property, such as trade secrets, copyrights and more
- evaluating your firm’s financial needs, anticipating unexpected demands/challenges in the coming year
- ensuring all important agreements are in writing, and that you understand and agree with every provision in existing contracts.
