WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 30, 2010) — The law firm of Gunster announced today that Florida State Senator Joe Negron has joined the firm as a shareholder. He will focus his practice on business litigation and environmental and land use, working primarily from the firm’s West Palm Beach and Stuart offices.”
Joe Negron’s experience as a lawmaker in Tallahassee, his knowledge of land use and proven abilities as a litigator adds an additional dimension to these two very deep practice groups at Gunster,” said H. Negron started his law career in private practice in Stuart, Fla. nearly 25 years ago, before joining the law firm of Crary, Buchanan, Bowdish, Bovie, Roby, Beres, Negron & Thomas. He most recently served Of Counsel at Akerman Senterfitt in West Palm Beach.

Negron was first elected to the Florida State House of Representatives in 2000 and served until 2006. Last year, voters elected him serve in the State Senate representing District 28. The district runs from Palm Beach County north to Indian River County.
Negron has a bachelor’s degree from Stetson University, a law degree from Emory University and a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1986. He is past-chairman of the Safe Florida Foundation, past-president of the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce and has served on the board of directors of the Martin County Chapter of the American Red Cross. In 2009, he received the Claude Pepper Memorial Award for Service to Senior Citizens.
