The Miami Herald published an article today on the top challenges faces by South Florida technology startups. The article was written by Gunster technology and emerging companies attorney Robert C. White.

White identifies specific challenges for tech startups in the region, and lists potential solutions for some as well.

Gunster attorney Bob WhiteRaising capital, for example, is often difficult for early stage tech companies. What may help to overcome this particular hurdle, White says in the article, is creating more opportunities for contact between entrepreneurs and investors.

Another challenge White identifies for these types of startups is spending time and money on a business product or service that is also being invested in by a much larger competitor – although a buyout may resolve this issue, to the benefit of both companies.
