2018 Florida's Women in Energy Leadership Forum

Gunster, along with title sponsor Gulf Power, is proud to present the third annual Florida Women in Energy Leadership Forum on Nov. 7-9, 2018, in Destin, Florida. The 2018 theme will focus on "Wisdom in Energy" as the Forum seeks to inform, inspire, and motivate.

In 2015, former chair of the Florida Public Service Commission and Gunster regional managing shareholder Lila Jaber, launched the annual Florida’s Women in Energy Leadership Forum (FWELF) to celebrate the success women leaders in the energy industry have demonstrated in growing Florida’s economy and diversifying an already tremendous workforce.

Now, in the Forum’s third year, the commitment to highlighting women leaders in this industry and exploring topics of mutual importance to all stakeholders continues.

The 2018 Forum will feature keynote speakers from Gulf Power, Florida Power & Light, Seminole Electric, the American Association of Blacks in Energy, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and the American Public Power Association, among others.

In addition to these keynote presentations, the following members of Gunster's government affairs law and lobbying team will participate in various programs throughout the Forum.

  • Government affairs consultant Ronald Brisé will moderate a panel on Wednesday Nov. 7 entitled "Connecting Students to the Opportunities in Energy."
  • On Thursday Nov. 8, Gunster shareholder Beth Keating will participate on the "Wisdom in Law" panel.
  • Government affairs consultant Joanna Bonfanti will moderate the panel discussion "Wisdom in the Legislature" on Friday Nov. 9.

Join the conversation on social media using #WisdomInEnergy and @FLWomenInEnergy on Facebook and Twitter.
