On August 16, 2021, Gunster will host the inaugural episode of its insurance-focused webinar series, “All Lines.” Government Affairs Consultants Sha’Ron James and Julie Fess will moderate a discussion with Senator Jeff Brandes, a member of the Florida Senate Banking and Insurance Committee. 

The All Lines webinar series will focus on current trends and topics within the industry and feature conversations with stakeholders, state policy makers, regulators and carriers. 


With extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, insurance law and regulatory matters, Sha’Ron James practices at the intersection of government affairs and advocacy, insurance l aw and regulation, and policy development and execution. She represents domestic and international insurance companies and insurance-related entities throughout Florida, before the Florida Legislature, Office of Insurance Regulation, and other State Agencies.


With more than two decades of experience participating in Florida’s political, regulatory and legislative process, Julie Fess supports Gunster clients’ public policy and advocacy initiatives. A sole practitioner who owned and operated Fess Consulting for many years, Julie is skilled in helping to devise messaging and lobbying strategies that focus on meaningful outcomes by striving to collaboratively work with legislative leadership on substantive issues and the appropriations process.
