On January 26 Gunster attorney Bob Lamm will be giving a presentation to the Corporate Counsel as part of the webinar "Pat McGurn's Forecast for 2016 proxy season." The presentation will discuss last year's season and strategies and companies enter into 2016.

The Corporate Counsel is an organization that provides continued education to the legal profession. The webinar will cover important topics in the 2016 proxy season. Proxy season is the time of year when many companies hold shareholder meetings and vote on the direction and strategy for their business in the coming year.

In addition, Lamm was recently quoted in Agenda: A Financial Times Service on the subject of universal proxy ballot rule. He emphasized the importance of making it clear on a ballot the shareholder responsible for nominating the proxy for whom people will vote.

Lamm is the co-chair of Gunster's securities and corporate governance practice, as well as the independent senior adviser to the Deloitte Center for Corporate Governance, an advisory director of Argyle, and an active member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. Due to his extensive experience and involvement in the corporate governance field, he is frequently asked to give presentations about a variety of subjects within the field.
