On October 1, Lamm will be hosting an interview at the annual meeting for the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, or SCSGP. SCSGP is a national non-profit based in New York City, which provides advice and networking to the corporate governance profession.

Lamm will be interviewing Betsy Murphy, the Associate Director in the Division of Corporation Finance for the  U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC. At the same event, Gunster attorney David Scileppi will be leading a panel on small- and mid-cap issues, including raising financing under the SEC Regulation A+, legislation related to smaller companies' access to securities.

From October 7-9, Lamm will be in Seattle, where he will be speaking on two panels for the SCSGP Western Regional and Mini-Essentials program. One of the panels will discuss regulation and disclosure for the SEC, and the other, called "Bored Board," will discuss making presentations to a board of directors.

Then, from October 27-28, Lamm will be headed to San Diego, where he will give a presentation called “50 Nuggets in 75 Minutes” and a 5-minute “PEP Talk” on the top 10 things every public company should do to improve its proxy statement. The presentation will take place at the 23rd annual conference for the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals.

On October 30th, Lamm will be in New York moderating a round-table discussion for The Conference Board's annual meeting for their Governance Center.

Lamm is the co-chair of Gunster's securities and corporate governance practice, as well as the senior advisor to the Deloitte Center for Corporate Governance, an advisory director of Argyle, and an active member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. Due to his extensive experience and involvement in the corporate governance field, he is frequently asked to give presentations about a variety of subjects within the field.

In the securities and corporate governance practice at Gunster, attorneys advise companies from the first round of financing to the initial public offering and beyond. Gunster attorneys have counseled public and private companies of all sizes, and have been involved in private placements, as well as in initial and later-stage public offerings of equity, debt and hybrid securities. Our attorneys are also called upon to represent investment bankers, underwriters and placement agents, as well as many types of investors.
