Florida Bar Appellate Practice SectionGunster Shareholder Lauren Purdy will be a panelist at the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar's course Drafting Jurisdictional Briefs on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The course will cover the procedural and substantive rules that govern jurisdictional briefing, identify relevant case law that litigators should study and follow, and give advice on common mistakes that practitioners should avoid. At the end of the program, audience members will be able to ask the panelists questions as part of an interactive Q&A.

Lauren PurdyLauren Purdy serves as Gunster’s Jacksonville Office Managing Shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Appellate practice. She advises local, national and multinational clients in a wide array of business disputes in both state and federal courts. Lauren’s experience in trial and appellate courts includes the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in jury trials, bench trials and arbitration hearings. She has also briefed and argued complex commercial appellate matters before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Florida Supreme Court and other Florida appellate courts.
