On Thursday, Sept. 29, the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's Jewish Community Relations Council will be hosting a free community event to discuss how terrorism affects the world, the U.S., and South Florida – i.e., how to remain vigilant without being crippled by fear.
"Overcoming the New Reality of Terror: A Perspective Fifteen Years After 9/11" will feature the following panelists:
- Katherine Bauer, senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy
- Dr. Robert Friedmann, director at the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange
- Michael D'Alonzo, special agent in charge at the FBI
The panelists will offer a robust discussion on how terrorist organizations are tracked and financed, and the effects of global terrorism on our communities.
The conversation will be moderated by Gunster attorney Adam Kramarow, a corporate attorney working in the firm's West Palm Beach office. His past experience includes serving as a foreign consultant with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Kramarow is a member of the executive board of the federation's Jewish Community Relations Council.
