On September 15, 2021, several Gunster attorneys will particpate in the "Don't lose your way! Navigating the cross-border corporate compliance maze" Globalaw-hosted webinar. Shareholder Jonathan Osborne will moderate the discussion, and shareholders Milton Vescovacci and Nathan Hill will serve as panelists.

The second half of 2020 saw the biggest half-year jump on record in cross-border M&A compared with the first half of the year. Given the bounty of accumulated capital, deal-related compliance risks are likely to increase. As their cross-border businesses grow, corporate counsel must ensure compliance with anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money-laundering, and anti-boycott statutes, conform to sanctions regimes and customs, export and import controls, and concurrently mitigate fraud risks and control deal-related costs.

Join the first of a three-part series of webinars designed to help clients:

  • Identify business and legal risks in cross-border transactions
  • Understand best practices in pre-transaction due diligence in cross-border M&A and post-transaction compliance in this rapidly evolving area
  • Effectively conduct an internal investigation or defend and manage a government investigation

Established in 1994, Globalaw is comprised of more than 80 law firms located in 60 countries with over 4,500 lawyers, making it one of the most global of all legal networks. It mission is to provide excellent personalized legal services though a well-connected relationship focused network.
