The Florida International Bankers Association is hosting the 15th Annual FIBA Anti Money Laundering Compliance Conference in Miami. FIBA is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated bringing important financial issues to the forefront of the conversation and focusing on international banking and finance.
Gunster, which has been with the conference for many years, is hosting a power breakfast, which comes complimentary with entry to the conference, on March 6. If you are attending the conference, start your day off with a discussion of cross-border income tax investigations. The panel will feature Gunster attorneys Alan Lederman, Lu-Ann Dominguez and Martin Press from the firm's tax practice.
The panel will confront the issue of what is in the future for U.S. financial institutions along with many other issues including expansion of tax treaties, exchange of information agreements and the OEDC Tax Assistance Convention.
