On February 17 and 18, Broward Days will host a two day event in Tallahassee to advocate for the needs of Broward County and educate participants through workshops, events and meetings with the legislature.
Gunster is hosting a reception at 5:30 on Wednesday the 17th called "Words with Friends." The reception is located at Gunster's Tallahassee office and Joe Negron, Florida Senate president-elect and an of counsel attorney will be a guest speaker.
In addition to the Words with Friends reception, Broward Days will include:
- A presentation from the lobbying corp and the press corp,
- A panel discussion on tourism, traffic and economic development
- Legislative appointments
- A discussion about business trends and opportunities in South Florida hosted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce
Broward Days is a nonpartisan and nonprofit organization focused on the needs of Broward County. During the year the organization tracks the issues that are most likely to affect the county and educates members about those issues and the legislation surrounding them. The cost to attend Broward Days is $150 per person, and registration is available on the Broward Days website.
Joe Negron was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000 and completed his service in 2006. In 2009, he was elected to the Florida Senate, representing communities in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties.
