Gunster shareholder Mike Freed will once again lace up his shoes to run six marathons in six days to support Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA) on December 15-20. He will run courthouse-to-courthouse, from Tallahassee to Jacksonville, for the third year to raise awareness of the "justice gap" and help even more who are in need.
With this year's goal of $180,000, Mike has 22 teams to run alongside him and participate in a point-to-point relay. With more than a 50% increase in the number of teams over the last year, Freed To Run 3.0 is going to be the best yet. To date, Freed to Run has raised more than $400,000 with a goal of raising $2.25 million by 2023, which will be boosted by a 125% matching gift from Baptist Health Foundation.
Freed's dedication to closing the justice gap led him to receive First Coast News 2019 '12 Who Care' Community Service Award.
