Gunster is proud to sponsor the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County’s Stock the Shelves: Support our Teachers initiative in conjunction with the grand opening of the Center for Public School Excellence and Innovation on January 16, 2025, in Lake Worth Beach. The new facility will provide valuable educational resources for students and teachers across the School District of Palm Beach County. Through the Stock the Shelves initiative, the Education Foundation will provide teachers with the supplies they need for their classrooms.
Gunster shares a long history of partnership with the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County. The late Ed Tancer, former Gunster Shareholder, served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and spearheaded the Foundation’s Backpack Build in which Gunster is an annual participant. Shareholder Greg Schwinghammer continues to carry on Ed’s legacy by serving on the Education Foundation’s board of directors.
Greg Schwinghammer is a shareholder who joined Gunster in 1996. Before his legal career, Greg was a cavalry officer in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and Kuwait. Greg’s practice involves complex business litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and toxic tort and environmental litigation. He represents clients throughout Florida and, when needed, around the country. Greg has tried cases at all levels — from local administrative hearings, to county court commercial evictions, to arbitration, to jury trials in circuit and federal courts. Greg is involved in the community as a member of Leadership Florida (Class 34), as well as serving on the Board of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County.
