On Tuesday, April 25, Florida business executives will gather for a high level discussion on the Trump administration's first 100 days and its impact on Florida business. The program, presented by Gunster, will focus on employment law, health care, transportation and infrastructure.
Speakers:
George S. LeMieux, former U.S. Senator to Florida and Gunster chairman of the board, will provide a review of the first 100 days of the Trump administration - successes and failures - and what is still to come.
Joe Santoro and Brian McPherson, of Gunster's labor and employment law practice, will discuss how the Trump presidency will impact the changes implemented by the Obama administration over the past eight years. They will also cover what to expect from leadership changes at the Department of Labor, the EEOC, and NLRB. Finally, they will discuss the impact on current employment law issues before the Supreme Court now that Neil Gorsuch has been appointed to the vacancy.
Dr. Wael Barsoum, president of Cleveland Clinic Florida, will be discussing the healthcare transformation in America and how the new Trump administration will respond.
Stacy Miller, director of transportation development at the Florida Department of Transportation, will talk about some of the upcoming major projects and the major transportation challenges facing the region.
