In memory of our late colleague, Ed Tancer, who gave his whole heart to the community, Gunster is proud to join the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County (EFPBC), Business Development Board, and The School District of Palm Beach County in honoring the 2022 Distinguished Alumni & Leadership Award recipients. Gunster Shareholder Greg Schwinghammer serves on the Board of Directors for the EFPBC in an effort to carry on Tancer’s legacy within the organization.
This annual event allows business and philanthropic community leaders to come together to share the importance of investing in today's students as tomorrow's leaders.
Event highlights will include:
- Honoring Kate Arrizza, President & Chief Executive Officer with Cox Science Center and Aquarium and a Palm Beach County graduate as the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Awardee for her significant contributions in professional practice, personal achievement and community service.
- Honoring Ray Titus, Chief Executive Officer with United Franchise Group, as the Outstanding Leadership Awardee for going “above and beyond” and a leader in the community.
- Hearing how business and education leaders, Daniel Cane, CEO and Co-Founder with Modernizing Medicine and Michael J. Burke, Superintendent with The School District of Palm Beach County, discuss emerging trends and employment in both the business and education world, as well as what role private investment from the business community plays in education today.
Greg Schwinghammer is a shareholder who joined Gunster in 1996. Before his legal career, Greg was a cavalry officer in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and Kuwait.
