Lisa A. Schneider, a Gunster shareholder and leader of the firm's private wealth services practice, has been selected as a finalist for the 2016 Athena leadership award.
The annual award, presented by the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, honors the Palm Beach County woman (or man) who actively assists women in reaching their professional and leadership potential.
Schneider co-chairs Gunster’s Women’s Leadership Forum, which aims to advance women lawyers into leadership roles within the legal community and the community at large.
She leads one of the largest estate and trust planning and administration legal practice groups in Florida representing some of Florida’s wealthiest families, business owners and entrepreneurs. Her many years of experience advising families as to the tax-efficient transfer of wealth, and business succession planning has led to Lisa’s reputation as a problem solver and influential presence in many different professional, personal and community circles.
Schneider uses her broad business network to build business relationships, opportunities and greater community involvement for the betterment of Palm Beach County and its residents.
For example, she helped re-envision the Jewish Professionals Network in the county; also, her ability to play matchmaker among her professional networks and community leaders led to the formation of Impact the Palm Beaches, which advances high-impact philanthropy by pooling smaller donations from individual women to create a large grant that will have a big impact in our community. Most recently, Schneider has been asked to co-chair the organization.
