Gunster's government affairs consultant Ron Brisé will speak at the 2019 Shades of Green Forum on the Diversity and Inclusion topic of getting commitment from Energy and Utility sectors to come to the table. The Shades of Green Forum brings together a diverse group of representatives from the utility and energy sectors for a candid discussion about the state of diversity. The Forum will take place in Philadelphia on October 1 & 2 at The Westin Philadelphia.
The 2019 Shades of Green Forum offers attendees the opportunity to participate in a candid conversation centered around "What a Seat at the Table Means." Get comfortable with being uncomfortable as thought leaders lead this much-needed discussion on how to get the energy and utility sectors to come to the table around diversity and equity. The session will provide actionable takeaways for ensuring everyone has a seat at the table. Paula Glover, President and CEO, American Association of Blacks in Energy will facilitate the conversation and will be joined by Ronald Brise, Government Affairs Consultant at Gunster and Commissioner Odogwu Obi Linton, Maryland Public Service Commission.
Brisé, a former Public Service Commissioner and former State Representative, leverages a wealth of experience in governmental, legislative, political and business arenas to represent the interests of clients in matters that include appropriations, business development, education, governmental and legislative affairs, public policy, and economic development. During his time in the Florida Legislature, Brisé was designated democratic whip and served as vice chair of the Florida Conference of Black State Legislators. Following his tenure in the Legislature, Brisé was tapped to serve on the Florida Public Service Commission where he served multiple terms including in the role of chair. Brisé is passionate about bringing together different people and interests to accomplish a common goal, and leverages his relationships with policymakers both nationally and internationally on behalf of clients.
