The American Contract Compliance Association will holds its annual National Training Institute from August 30 to September 4. This year, the event will be held in Chicago. Update: photos from event added below.
A nonprofit dedicated to ensuring equitable employment and contracting practices within the public and private sectors, the ACCA provides training, standardization of practice, networking and support to the many affirmative action, contract compliance, equal employment, and human rights workers across the country.
Earnest DeLoach Jr., a business litigator in Gunster's Orlando office, will once again deliver an engaging presentation on bid protests. His session is scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 31, as part of ACCA's Executive Leadership Institute program.
According to the 2016 class schedule, DeLoach will cover:
Bid protests: Defending your people, process and procedure decisions. Procurement decisions can be tricky. Who is the lowest “responsive, responsible” bidder? How do I defend my procurement decision when it’s challenged? Which protest procedure should be followed? How do I know if my procedure is consistent with prevailing legal options? Participants will learn the answers to these and other questions in an interactive environment, including role-playing exercises.

Feedback from attendees of DeLoach's presentation included that he was "hands down best presenter of the day" and "really knock[ed] it out of the park on bid protests."
