The Jewish Women's Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches, or JWF, is an organization dedicated to social change for the benefit of women and grant-making. On December 16, JWF is hosting "Imagine the Possibilities," a bat mitzvah luncheon celebrating the founding chair of the organization, Eileen Berman.
JWF has given away $200,000 in grants during the 2014/15 cycle. They also provide leadership, advocacy, and equality programs.
The featured speaker at the event is Fraidy Reiss, founder and executive director of Unchained at Last, an organization seeking to help women leave and end arranged marriages. The organization also has a special focus on ending child marriage. Reiss herself is a survivor of an arranged/forced marriage. It is the only organization of its kind in the United States.
Julie Cummings is the chair of the event, and Gunster attorney Lisa Schneider is one of the co-chairs, along with Gary Lesser and Alaina Fantuch. Schneider leads Gunster’s private wealth services practice and co-chairs the firm’s Women’s Leadership Forum
