The 2019 Florida Government Finance Officers Association Leadership Summit will be held from June 8 to June 12 at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood. Gunster chairman of the board and former U.S. Senator George S. LeMieux will be presenting at the annual summit.
The FGFOA conference is held annually every June in various locations throughout the state. Approximately 1,200 local government finance officials from across Florida attend this meeting to share ideas, attend educational workshops and sessions, and earn continuing education credits.
Attendees have several education tracks that they can chose from.

LeMieux is a business litigation attorney at Gunster where he focuses his practice on resolving business, governmental disputes, and advising CEOs and C-suite executives on business, law and government from a local, state and national perspective. He served as Florida’s 34th United States Senator in the 111th Congress. In the United States Senate, he served on the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the Special Committee on Aging. In addition, he is the founder of the LeMieux Center for Public Policy at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
