The University of South Florida will be hosting their annual Women in Leadership & Philanthropy Fall Symposium panel discussion on October 19, 2018.
Gunster government affairs attorney Lila Jaber will be a featured panelist on the Diversity and Inclusion panel. This half-day event will celebrate accomplished women who lead through their volunteer, professional and philanthropic contributions. The event will kick off with a networking breakfast, followed by concurrent session and a dynamic keynote address by Jeannette Walls--journalist and author of the New York Times best-selling memoir, The Glass Castle.
Lila Jaber leads Gunster's government affairs law & lobbying practice and serves as the regional managing shareholder over the Tallahassee and Orlando offices. Her experience ranges from utility specific matters in energy and water, to general business strategy development and implementation for companies doing business in Florida. Jaber is involved at the state and local leadership levels, helping to promote civic engagement and economic development. Notably, she is also the architect of the Florida Women in Energy Leadership Forum, a group focused on highlighting the workforce and economic development contributions of the electric and natural gas industries in the state. Additionally, Jaber is a founding member of the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce, where she strives to promote growth and support for women and minority owned businesses in five counties in the Big Bend region. She has earned a variety of honors and recognitions over the course of her career, including being named one of Tallahassee Democrat’s “25 Women You Need to Know."
