In the late 19th and early 20th century, Bals Poudre, were all the rage. The balls are powdered wig balls, that started in America with an ode to Marie Antoinette. They were notoriously hosted around George Washington's birthday, andwhitehall_society_logo_cmyk-black-text-for-edu marked an end of the season in Palm Beach. The first Bal Poudre in Palm Beach was hosted by Henry Flagler.

Now, The Whitehall Society of the Flagler Museum is wanting to bring that back in 2015 on Feb. 21. The event, hosted at the Flagler Museum's Whitehall, will send its proceeds to the Flagler Museum's education programs. Gunster is one of the many proud sponsors of this night.

The Whitehall Society of the Flagler Museum aims to cultivate the support of the up-and-coming generation of Palm Beach residents who have an interest in art and culture. The Bal Poudre this year comes full circle 112 years after the first one came to Palm Beach.
