Scripps Florida will honor Gunster shareholder Lisa Schneider at the second annual Nexus Society induction ceremony on April 28. The celebration will begin with a cocktail reception and include a keynote speaker, Professor Michael Farzan, who will address the subject of "How Scripps is combating Zika, Ebola, HIV/AIDS, Dengue Fever and other infectious diseases."
The Nexus Society is a society which honors people whose work has led to a gift of more than $100,000 to Scripps Florida. This year, there are four honorees, including Schneider, Todd Barron, Thomas Kaplan and Edward Ricci. Honorees were selected by the Nexus Society Professional Advisory Group Steering Committee, which is made up of 15 individuals who support the mission of Scripps and work in a wide variety of professions.
Schneider works out of the firm's Stuart and West Palm Beach offices. She co-leads the firm's private wealth services practice group and co-chairs the firm's Women's Leadership Forum. She is active in the South Florida community and serves as a founding trustee of the Jewish Women’s Foundation, chairperson of the Palm Beach Martin County Community Foundation Professional Advisory Committee, co-chair of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, Jewish Professionals Network. She is also a member of the Professional Advisory Group Steering Committee for Scripps.
