South Florida Business & Wealth magazine is holding their annual Up & Comer Awards ceremony on June 16 at The Venue in Wilton Manors.
This event recognizes young professionals, age 39 or younger, who have made significant strides in their careers, and have become positive figures within their communities. Out of the applications, 150 were chosen as nominees, and then further narrowed down to 80 finalists. These standouts in their respective fields are selected by the public from the following categories: Banking, Construction, Education, Healthcare, Finance, Hospitality, Insurance, Law, Marketing & Media, Non-Profit, Professional Services, Public Relations, Real Estate, Retail and Technology/Utilities.
The nominees and finalists were judged on their position within their company, professional achievements, community outreach, and educational accomplishments.
Gunster’s Cristina Papanikos was named a finalist in this year’s “Law-Dade County” category. Papanikos is a shareholder who focuses her practice on estate, trust and guardianship litigation. She represents fiduciaries and individuals involved in complicated and disputed estate and trust administrations and guardianships. Papanikos is actively involved in shaping Florida’s laws, court rules and standards for ethical and competent practice in her field through her work in the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Litigation Section and Florida Probate Rules Committee. She is also a published author and lecturer on these topics, and a member of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Forum.
Papnikos stands to join last year’s Up & Comer award recipient Gunster attorney, Keith E, Sonderling. Sonderling was named the winner of the “Law- Palm Beach County" category.
